When one has a child,
one experiences a lot
of different emotions
at an extreme level.
Extreme joy
Extreme pain
Extreme discouragement
Extreme silliness
Extreme love
Extreme greatfulness
Extreme sadness
Extreme worry
Extreme fear
Extreme lack of sleep
(ok so it's not an emotion,
but it's true)
and Extreme PRIDE
I am experiencing extreme PRIDE
today
and I wanted to share it with you.
We happened upon a beautiful
hand made
log toddler bed and mattress
at a garage sale the other day.

We snatched it up and took it
home and set it up in Oli's room.
He played on it, jumped on it,
helped me "dress" it...
and then he slept on it.
I'm not kidding.
He actually stayed in the bed
and slept all night.
He didn't get up.
He didn't fall off.
He even called for me to come
get him this morning.
I don't know why I am so
shocked, except that we tried
the "big boy bed" thing three months
ago and it was UP and DOWN for
two hours. He never did sleep.
So, now he is napping on his
BIG BOY BED
and I could not be more proud
of my son.

super cool!
so many cool new things as they grow:)
How cute is that! To see Oli SLEEPING! There is no trick to taking away the pacifier (although I have heard you can cut them a bit so that they lose their sucking satisfaction or have your toddler throw them away one at a time saying "all done") but I have to say after 4 nights, Joey is sleeping SOUNDLY through the night and so are we! Yipee!
