Welcome to Beckon

So, here is what I have been working on...

For the last two years I have been saving and dreaming of a custom stationery and invitation business. Well, God did a miracle and my dream is coming true.

About six months ago my sweet husband started a new job. With gas prices going up and childcare being so expensive, we started praying for God to make a way for me not to have to work. After gas and childcare I was bringing home $300/month, which isn't a lot when you are working 25 hours a week plus an hour of drivetime each day away from your kiddos. So, sweet husband had a an awesome 90 day review and received a bonus that was exactly enough to cover the amount I make per month. Thank you Lord!!!!! So, soon after that I gave my notice at work and started working seriously on getting my business going. I have been home for two weeks now and it has been wonderful, but I definitely need somethign else to work on sometimes.
Here is what we spent our long weekend doing...

The den before...

The new doors, that lock from the inside... =)

And presto change-o! My new office/craft room!

My logo...

I am working on getting a website set up. That is my goal this week. Anyone know of anyone who can do websites and wants to make some moo-lah? Anyone? Anyone at all?

I am also trying to homeschool for preschool this year. Hopefully Oliver will be able to go to a new charter school we are helping to start next fall. They might not start with kindergarten right away. Check it out! Nampa Classical Academy

Some other fun stuff in the W household...

I threatened to superglue this sign to O's nose if he didn't stop picking and eating...

Our good friends, the Jeff and Mel Davis had their baby on August 2nd. Parker John. He's our new favorite friend...

And we found the coolest park just in time for it to start cooling down!
It was designed by two moms and is handicap accessible. It features rock climbing, giant musical instruments, a huge pirate ship themed playground and water park. There are also baseball fields, a snack bar, and next summer a wading pool. It's called Adventure Island.

I guess that's all for now.

Hasta la pasta!
