This picture, although a little blurry, totally captures oli's mood lately (or as my mom would call it - his "tude").
Not sure why he is so grumpy.
And, not sure how to react either.
I am grumpy sometimes, and
I do not want people telling me to snap out of it, or to go away, or to change my face. I want to be grumpy.
So, I am letting him be a grump. I ask him why he is grumpy about once a day, but he doesn't have an answer.
It makes me sad though. I miss my happy kid.

i love this!
i always think that too!
how would i feel if i was upset
& brian said 'change your face'
or 'go to your room until you can be happy'
(actually if he said that i would probably skip to our room:)
but still....
in my experience unsually the grumps
also have a little friend accompanying them
their friend is called
'i will talk in a mean voice & hit my sister'
so that always ends up with a trip to the bedroom
'until you can be kind'
we always say
'it's okay to be mad or frustrated or upset but it is not okay to be mean'
gotta love these little toddlers!
one minute they are charming the socks right off your feet
& the next you would like to send them to the sock factory...
love you, girlie...
welcome back:)
hi kelly! just got back from vacation and there is nothing like literally spending 24 hours a day with your kids! i say, let the grumpy be grumpy until you start becoming grumpy and then both of you go get some ice cream and see the smiles come back!
