They're watching you...

Yesterday I had an epiphany (sp?)
They are watching me.
They, as in, my boys, are watching me.

This realization should not be so surprising, but yesterday, Henry pulled a toy on his exer-saucer (one of God's gifts to mommies) that he hadn't figured out yet, and Oliver stopped midsentence to say "Good Job Hennee, good job!"

I smiled so big! What a fun thing to experience as a mom!
But then, it hit me. What else is he going to say or do that I say or do.
You know, those casual conversations that you and your husband still have in front of the little ones because "they're too young to understand." Oh my goodness!

It's not like I go around swearing or throwing things, thank goodness, but, I am not always careful.

So, then I was driving and a big semi literally ran me off the road, on purpose, as I was getting on the freeway. It was so scary, and I yelled "JERK!" really loud at him. (that'll show him)
And from the backseat I hear, "juk!"

See what I mean?!?!?!

I can remember a similar thing happening with Justin...though it sadly had to do with a certain eminem song and a little voice singing "I'm sorry mama"

We stopped listening to top 40, I can only imagine what he would have done with the music out today!

the first time Q said 'crap!' i wanted to die...i quickly changed to 'darn' & now he says it ALL THE TIME...it is quite cute:)...he also says 'um, so, anyway' just like brian...we have to stop the 'he's too young to understand' conversations too...because whether or not he understands he's saying it back...:)
