Someday, when I'm rich...

...my home will be filled with Pottery Barn.

I don't think of myself as a materialistic person,
until I open a Pottery Barn catalogue or walk into the store.
Then I feel like a kid at Disney Land and I want to cry and throw myself on the floor and kick and scream, "I WANT IT!"

(can you imagine?)

There is this bed that I want so badly for Oliver for his first bed.
It is a twin bed set in the middle of a row boat, with a trundle and drawers.
It is the cutest darn thing I ever did see! And it's $1400.
I just cannot justify, let alone afford, paying this much for a little boy's bed.
Then I found it on E-Bay for $300! I was soooooo excited, and I yelled "I WANT IT!"
But the guy lives in Newport Beach and will only sell it to a local. He refuses to ship.
(stupidhead)

There is another bed, this time a king size one, that I would love for our bedroom.
It is beautiful dark stained wood and it looks like you could put a canopy on it.
It is the most beautiful bed I have ever seen! And it is $1500.
Like I have $1500 just lying around for a bed.
Then I found it on Craig's List for $595! Once again I yelled, "I WANT IT!"
But someone had already bought it when I called.
(arg!)

So I was feeling all depressed for myself that my house is not filled with beautiful Pottery Barn stuff, and I thought to myself, self, you have fun and cute stuff! All the stuff you have bought, you bought because it looked like Pottery Barn. Most of your inspiration for home decor has been from Pottery Barn. So I decided to Pottery Barn my house one room at a time. Get rid of the clutter and simplify, simplify, simplify. And this is what the first room looks like. I love it.
It looks Pottery Barn to me, except for the fly that will not die and I cannot catch, and the stains on the couch that will not come out. But, you cannot see those can you.

Someday, when I am rich, I will have Pottery Barn...

Please come to my house and Pottery Barn it! I love your place...and really the people who can afford the real stuff have no time to enjoy it or the cute kids who will run around and stain it!

I love how you have decorated your house! That's why your opinion of what I do to my house means so much to me! The other thing I like about your house is that you've made it a home and whenever I come over I feel so comfortable!
